The Casino Rooms was once again after a two year break the venue for the latest KOMBAT ZONE event entitled Fast & Furious and we’re very pleased to say the TKO team once again did us proud winning 8 out of the 9 fights they were in including the crowning of yet another TKO Champion.

Garthy Shove took the IKF English Light-welterweight title defeating Champion Mike Brent from Taurus with a brilliant performance topped off with a 5th round KO with just 11 seconds of the fight remaining. There is no substitute for hard work and Garthy has worked hard for this for the past 6 months, it’s a well deserved win for him

Bradley Collins won the first defence of his IKF Southern Area Light-middleweight title with a very clear points win over unbeaten Ben Barr from Walton. The title never looked like changing hands as Bradley put on a very confident performance.

Charlie Bennett won the only White Collar Boxing fight of the night with a nice win over Andy Clegg from Dragon in Maidstone who had previously beaten TKO Boxer Ross Chell so a nice win for Charlie

Ashley Collins returned to the ring and scored his 3rd professional win with a clear points decision over the very tough Liam Cullen

Kelly Copeland goes from strength to strength with another win over good Irish opposition taking her record to 4-0. A brilliant first year so far which has already included winning the IKF World Classic in July.

George ‘G-Force’ Hennon made his long awaited ring debut and had a great fight with a very good Irish fighter Shane McConnell and he took a points decision. Very good performance and well deserved after hard work he’s put in.

Kay Sumner got back to winning ways with a win over a very tough Liz Warren from 5 Elements. Kay will be fighting again in 4 weeks time, watch out details of that event.

Patric ‘The Steam Train’ Halforty was far too strong for his opponent Simon Hughes and he stopped him in the second round

It was not to be for Derek McGarvie who having lost his original opponent stepped up to take on the very experienced Lewis Miles and he suffered a knockout in the first round but Derek should be congratulated for taking this on and he showed real character.

A GREAT night, the event went very smoothly and we would like to thank every member of the TKO Academy who came and supported the team, as always it very much appreciated.

Keep an eye out here and on our TKO ACADEMY Facebook page for news of when we next have fighters competing
