Busy TKO Academy Weekend Part 2 – FOUR ICO National Champions

After our busy Saturday night we were up early Sunday morning for a trip to Bury St Edmunds to take a team to the ICO National Light Continuous Championships and once again our team did us proud, each person on the team getting though to the final and 4 of them becoming ICO National Champions.

Chayden Carpenter has this year won the IKF Junior Open in January, become the IKF English Junior Champion in February and has now become a champion for the third time by winning the ICO Championships in the Boys under 40 kilos division. He’s in great form and the toughest kid on the block!

Jay Huntley has come on so much over the past 6 months and after two great wins at the Battle of Kent he earnt a shot at the ICO event and did himself and TKO proud by taking the Boys under 45 kilos division.

Tyler Oxford goes from strength to strength and took the Junior Boys under 65 kilos division, along the way he scored a great win over Vasil Chonev from Pegasus in a fantastic fight called the best of the day by Vasil’s coach Steve Cook

George Hennon is getting ready for his big fight on KOMBAT ZONE in May and so was in great form in taking the Men’s title in the under 65 kilos group and looks very ready for May

Losing finalists were Bradley Wray, Jack Poole, Kay Sumner and Harry Hennon. Basically the whole team did fantastically well. As their coach I could not have been prouder.

Thanks go to all the parents who came along and supported the team, it was very much appreciated.
