KOMBAT ZONE – Detonation:  Chayden keeps title and Gaz remains unbeaten

KOMBAT ZONE on Sunday was another great success, with LOADS of great fights, plenty of knockouts and a brilliant atmosphere throughout so thanks go to all those TKO Elite members who came along to support

Chayden ‘The Baby Faced Assassin’ Carpenter defended his British Junior title clearly outpointing Jay Turner who is a very good fighter.  Chayden’s relentless aggression and strength proving too much for the talented fighter from the midlands.

Gaz Oates remained unbeaten in his first outing for the TKO Elite team and what a first fight it was.  Originally scheduled to fight for the English K1 title his opponent had to withdraw at a days notice so in stepped Bryan Merrigan. Bryan from Galway is the current Irish Champion so this was a far tougher test however he handled the pressure with ease and despite having to take some heavy shots (including a great spinning back fist) he came back strong and forcing the referee to issue a standing count on Bryan in the third round secured for him the decision of the judges. This was a great fight and our thanks go to Bryan Merrigan who stepped in so Gaz didn’t have to miss out on his fight

Kyle Payne made a great KOMBAT ZONE debut with a draw against Reece Cooper from Assassins gym and Rytis Vilonis lost a close points decision in his fight.

A great night, thank go to everyone who helped to make it a successful event.

Next KOMBAT ZONE is set for 7th September
