Jay Huntley takes the title!

Big well done to Jay Huntley who on Saturday became the IKF English Junior Atomweight Champion when he defeated Francis Conlin in his hometown of Billingham in the north east of England.  It was a tough tough fight but Jay held the lead he established in the beginning of the fight to the end and took the unanimous decision of the judges.

Jay trains every day at the gym and when he’s not training he’s assisting in our junior classes so with that sort of dedication it was success that was well deserved.

On the same card Bradley Wray lost a very close decision to local lad Luke Cara.  It was for many of the people watching the fight of the night and Brad made a great start taking the first round. Cara came back strong in the second and then after a hard third round the judges were split, but the win went to Cara. However a great performance from Brad in his first fight for over 9 months

Thanks go to all those who came to support them
